To ensure the safety of pedestrians and provide a better viewing experience during Flicks by the Fountain, SW 5th Street between SW Hall Boulevard and SW Watson Avenue will be closed from 6-11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24. Westbound 5th Street traffic will be diverted south on SW Tucker Avenue and northbound Hall Boulevard traffic will be diverted eastbound at SW 5th Street.

Tonight's Flick by the Fountain is The Goonies (PG, 1985, 111 minutes), which begins at dusk.

Movie-goers are welcome to bring their own food and drink, if desired. No alcohol or smoking is allowed at the shows. Low-back chairs and blankets are recommended.

Parking is available next to Beaverton City Library and in the parking lot where the Beaverton Farmers Market is held. Restroom facilities are located in the park.

To accommodate the inflatable screen on movie nights, the fountain at the Beaverton City Park will be turned off all day long. In case of inclement weather, movies will be cancelled.
