PRELIMINARY INFORMATION - FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 97 SOUTH OF REDMOND

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are still on scene this evening investigating a Wednesday late afternoon fatal traffic crash on Highway 97 south of Redmond. The following brief information is being released with more details anticipated to be released Thursday.

Preliminary information indicates on June 8, 2011 at approximately 5:30 p.m. a multi-vehicle crash occurred in the northbound lanes of Highway 97 near 124. Approximately an hour after the crash there was a confirmed fatality.

OSP troopers from the Bend Area Command office remain on scene continuing the investigation into the cause and manner of the crash. No names or details are available for this release.
