A Welches-area man received non-life threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon following a single vehicle rollover crash on Highway 26 about two miles east of Sandy.
According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Trooper Tracy Clark, on June 8, 2011 at approximately 12:39 p.m. a 2002 Subaru Legacy driven by MICHAEL J. LINDERMAN, age 60, from Welches, was eastbound on Highway 26 near milepost 27 when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the westbound lanes. The Subaru traveled into the north side ditch and rolled several times before coming to rest on its side.
LINDERMAN was extricated by fire personnel from Sandy and Hoodland Fire Departments. He was transported by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He was using safety restraints.
OSP troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation into the cause of the crash. Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, ODOT and the above-mentioned fire departments assisted at the scene. The highway was closed about 30 minutes for LifeFlight transport purposes.
