POLICE PURSUIT IN VANCOUVER.

On 08-03-14 at approximately 5:45 pm, a citizen called "911" to report that an adult male had thrown a child by an arm into a minivan. Location of occurrence was at 1800 block of Andresen Rd. Per the caller, the described van had immediately left the area.
Description of the suspect's minivan was broadcasted on the police radio channel. Patrol officers located the minivan traveling in area of I-5 Fwy and SR-500.
Patrol officers attempted to pull over the minivan. Driver of the vehicle refused to yield and continued driving S/B on the freeway.
Portland Police units responded to assist.
Shortly later, police units were then able to block the suspect's vehicle at Alberta St and I-5 Fwy's Southbound off-ramp.
Suspect was subsequently arrested for resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, and eluding a police vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that all occupants of the minivan ( including two young children ) were related to the suspect. It was found that the incident had started with a domestic dispute between suspect and his wife.
Arrested individual was identified as a thirty eight year old resident of Portland, OR. His name or names of any other involved citizens were not available for release at time of this report.
