MONDAY AFTERNOON MEDIA BRIEFING IN WALDPORT REGARDING SEARCH FOR POLICE SHOOTING SUSPECT

Newport Police Chief Mark Miranda will be holding a media briefing today, January 24, at 3:00 p.m. at the Waldport Community Learning Center located near the intersection of Highway 34 and Bay Street east of Waldport City Hall.
Chief Miranda will update media in the Waldport area about the continuing search for the suspect wanted in connection with Sunday night's shooting of Lincoln City Police Officer Steven B. Dodds. An estimated 75 - 100 law enforcement officers are in the area searching for the unidentified suspect.
No other information to be released at this time.
