VANCOUVER POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING (UPDATE)

Detectives from the Safe Streets Task Force are continuing their investigation into the drive by shooting that occurred in the 2000 block of Todd Road on Saturday, January 22, 2011. An 18 year old male and a 15 year old female were shot in what appears to be a gang related incident. The male remains in critical condition and the female is in stable condition. The names of the victims are not being released. No further information is available at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

Detectives are continuing to interview possible witnesses and are asking anyone with information to call the Vancouver Police Tip Line at (360) 487-7399. Tips can be left anonymously.

On January 22, 2011 at approximately 9:07 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a report of a drive by shooting in the 2000 block of Todd Road. Witnesses reported a male victim, 18, in the street with a gunshot wound. As police were responding, a female victim, unknown age, was located in the 2000 block of Brandt Road. Indications are that both were shot in the Todd road location and the female walked to the other location before being located. Both victims were transported to an area hospital. The male victim has possible life-threatening injuries, the female appeared to have less serious injuries.

Vancouver Police Detectives are investigating the incident and at this time have no suspect information or suspect vehicle information.

No further information is available at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
