BEAVERTON, Ore. - The city of Beaverton, Metro, and BESThq will host a small business information session on Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at BESThq's offices, 12745 SW Beaverdam Road.
Businesses are encouraged to attend to learn about working with public agencies, finding and applying for government contracts, and certification through the state's minority, women, and emerging small business (MWESB) and service-disabled veterans programs.
Public agencies including Metro and the city of Beaverton have set goals to contract with certified MWESBs. As incentive, the city of Beaverton and Metro will each award a small contract to a business that attends and becomes certified.
Refreshments will be provided by Andersen Construction. Interested businesses should visit beavertonmeetandcertify.eventbrite.com to register for the event. For more information, contact Terry Muralt at 503-526-2299 or tmuralt@BeavertonOregon.gov.
