News Release from Hillsboro Fire and Rescue
Posted on FlashAlert: August 22nd, 2015 1:08 PM
Smokey conditions in the Portland Metro area from wildland fires in Central Oregon, Willamina Oregon and Washington State are resulting in an increased call volume to Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency (WCCCA) 9-1-1 operators. The agency has been inundated with calls for smoke investigations.
The Hillsboro Fire Department would like to remind citizens to call 9-1-1 when they see a distinct column of smoke or smoke coming from a specific source.
