On Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 6:00 AM, Red Cross Disaster Action Team members  responded to a residential fire that occurred in the 2200 block of North Menzies Dr. in Portland. This single-family fire affected 3adults.
Red Cross provided disaster mental health services and disaster recovery information.
 
The Red Cross advocates emergency preparedness and offers the installation of free smoke alarms in communities across Oregon and southwest Washington. Residents may call (503) 528-5783 to schedule an appointment.
