On May 26, 2015 at about 7:33 PM, the Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on US HWY 26, at milepost 134 (just east of Dayville in Grant County).

According to Sergeant Tom Hutchison, the driver of a 1997 Chevy Blazer was traveling westbound when the vehicle left the roadway and traveled onto the shoulder of the westbound lane. The operator, Travis LAKE, age 25, of Caldwell, ID lost control of the vehicle where it crossed over both lanes of the roadway and onto the shoulder of the eastbound lane. The vehicle subsequently rolled over and came to rest on it's top.

LAKE was treated by emergency medical technicians, but refused to be transported to the hospital. LAKE showed indicators of impairment and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Grant County jail, where he cooperated with a drug evaluation. LAKE was issued a citation in lieu of custody for DUII, Reckless Driving and Possession of Less Than an Ounce of Marijuana.

OSP was assisted by the Grant County Sheriff's Office and Blue Mountain EMTS.
