THURSDAY EVENING FIRE RULED ACCIDENTAL

News Release from Clackamas Fire Dist. #1
Posted on FlashAlert: April 17th, 2015 1:45 PM
Shortly after 6:30 on Thursday evening, firefighters were called to a report of a possible residential fire in the 32000 Block of SE Wildcat Mountain Drive. Enroute, firefighters were given an update that a subject had been badly burned and was standing outside of the residence. Life Flight was then dispatched to respond to the scene given the long travel distance to the burn center. Upon arrival firefighters found a small trailer that was previously on fire but had been extinguished and a male subject badly burned standing outside. Firefighters quickly went to work providing care to the burn patient while simultaneously confirming the fire was completely out. A search of the trailer revealed that nobody else was inside. The single burn patient was treated on scene then transported by Life Flight to The Emanuel Burn Center with possible life threatening injuries. At this time the male patient remains in critical condition at the Burn Center.

Fire Investigators were on scene Thursday night and Friday morning and have ruled this fire to have been accidental, caused by the manufacturing of hash oil. It is estimated that the fire caused $10,000 in damage to the trailer but no other structures were damaged as a result of this fire. Clackamas Fire was assisted by Oregon State Police during this investigation.
