DEPUTIES INVESTIGATE MAN FOUND WITH GUNSHOT WOUND

The investigation revealed the man was involved in a verbal argument with his wife prior to walking outside. The wife heard a loud noise, went outside, and discovered her husband near the house with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his abdomen.
A nearby neighbor responded to assist the man until medical personnel arrived. Personnel from Clackamas County Fire District #1, American Medical Response (AMR), and Gresham Fire Department assisted at the scene. The man was then transported by Life Flight to an area hospital for further treatment.
This incident is being investigated as an attempted suicide, but is still an ongoing investigation. Neither the man's name nor further details will be released at this time.

On April 4, 2015 at approximately 5:06 PM, Deputies of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and the Damascus Police Department responded to a man with a gunshot wound found in a driveway near SE 242nd Ave and SE Tillstrom Rd in Damascus.
Deputies are on scene and investigating the circumstances which led to the shooting. No further information will be released at this time.
