15-YEAR-OLD TEENAGE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR ASSAULT

Saturday night Washington County deputies responded to a report of an assault with a weapon. A 15-year-old girl was taken into custody for assaulting another 15-year-old girl with a knife.
On Saturday April 11, 2015 at 8:24 p.m., Washington County Deputies responded to Aloha Huber Park elementary school on a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies learn that two 15-year-old girls arranged to meet at the school to fight. During the course of the fight, one of the girls pulled a knife and stabbed the other multiple times. The suspect fled the scene and was later taken into custody at a nearby home.
The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She is currently listed in serious, but stable condition.
The suspect is facing Assault II charges and will be lodged at Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Facility.
