BODY RECOVERY IN PROGRESS ON EAST BANK OF WILLAMETTE RIVER

At around 3:30 this afternoon Portland Fire water and land based crews were dispatched on reports of a person in the Willamette River. Crews located a deceased individual along the East bank near N. Port Center Way. At this time it is unclear how long the individual has been in the water. The sex and age of the individual have not been determined.
Portland Fire turned the scene over to Multnomah County Sheriffs Office.
