THIRD MAN INDICTED FOR 2013 MURDER AT RED SUNSET PARK

Gresham, Ore. - On July 6, 2013 Gresham Police were called to Red Sunset Park in the 2400 block of Red Sunset Dr. in Gresham at 9:47 p.m. on reports of both fireworks and possibly gunshots. Officers arrived and discovered 29-year-old Paulino Vanancio-Lopez of Gresham deceased of a gunshot wound at the scene. Another victim went to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg.
Today, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted 23-year-old Tomas David Luna-Lopez of Gresham on multiple felony charges including: Murder, Attempted Aggravated Murder, Assault I, Assault II and six counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Luna-Lopez is currently in custody for an unrelated Portland assault case. He is the third suspect indicted for Vanancio-Lopez's death.
Vanancio-Lopez's murder investigation was conducted by the East County Major Crimes Team. This multi-agency team is a partnership between the Gresham, Troutdale and Fairview Police Departments, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police working in cooperation with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.
