February 23, 2015--The Washington County Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety mission results during this rating period are as follows:
-824 Traffic Stops
-243 Speeding Citations
-104 Seatbelt Citations
-101 Cell Phone Citations
--33 Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device Citations
--23 No Insurance Citations
--12 No Drivers License Citations
---9 Suspended Drivers Citations
---1 Felony Warrant Arrest
---1 Misdemeanor Arrest
Future enhanced patrols will be announced.

February 20, 2015--Sheriff's Deputies will continue to provide extra patrols concerning enhanced seat belt enforcement from February 9-22, 2015.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office would like everyone to have a safe and enjoyable driving experience and will be providing extra patrols focused on seat belt compliance. Deputies will also be providing enforcement of drivers who are speeding, following too closely, and distracted while using mobile communication devices.
These extra patrols are funded by a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration grant obtained through the Department of Transportation. The Washington County Sheriff's Office reminds people to have a safe traveling experience.
This is one of several sponsored traffic safety missions. The results will be provided at the conclusion of this traffic safety mission.
