WILSONVILLE, OR -- On Wednesday, March 11, 2015, 6 - 8 pm at City Hall, 29799 SW Town Center Loop East, residents and business managers are invited to attend a public meeting to share feedback about television cable service from Comcast, which also does business under the name of xfinity. Community members, non-profit groups, business representatives, educators and civic leaders are invited to participate, even if they are not currently customers.
The City is holding this forum to gather input from the community in order to evaluate Comcast's performance during the current franchise term with the City of Wilsonville and to assess the community's future cable-service needs. Feedback from the public forum is helpful to ensure the City understands and can best represent the community's interests as the City prepares to negotiate a new franchise agreement with the company.
Attendees are encouraged to share their comments and experiences regarding the cable television company's quality of service, technical and signal quality, consumer complaint responses, billing practices, credit reporting practices, as well as provide input on future cable television related needs and interests in Wilsonville. City employees will also be on hand to explain the current and proposed use of Wilsonville's government access station Channel 30.
The City also plans to conduct a random-sample written survey later this spring to gather additional feedback.
For more information, contact Jon Gail, Community Relations Coordinator, at 503-570-1502; gail@ci.wilsonville.or.us.
