FREE Vessel Safety Check
Saturday, February 28th, 2015
9:00am to 4:00pm
Clark County Operations Center
4700 NE 78th Street, Vancouver
Bring your boat! Members of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and Sheriff's Marine Deputies will be on hand to provide FREE vessel safety checks for boaters on Saturday, February 28th from 9AM to 4PM at the Clark County Operations Center, 4700 NE 78th Street in Vancouver.
The Vessel Examiners who perform these checks are trained specialists who know the latest legal requirements for boaters. USCG Auxiliary Vessel Examiners have no legal authority and their goal is to prevent boaters from getting equipment related citations and to reduce safety related accidents.
These boating safety equipment checks are meant to be educational and helpful, and are a good follow-up to any water safety course. The Vessel Examiners will check to see if all required items are onboard your boat and if everything is present and in good working order, they will award a decal to affix to your boat.
A Vessel Safety Check is one of the keys to safe boating. Make sure you and your boat are prepared and properly equipped for this boating season!
