Vancouver, Wash. - The Vancouver Police Activities League (PAL) is getting ready for the Portland Trail Blazers Rip City Relay in Vancouver on Tuesday, October 28.
The day begins at 10:30 a.m. with an assembly for 3rd-5th graders at Orchards Elementary School (11405 NE 69th St.) featuring representatives and alumni from the Portland Trail Blazers.
Portland Trail Blazer alumni Jerome Kersey will be hosting a PAL Youth Basketball Clinic for pre-selected 3rd-5th graders at Roosevelt Elementary School (2921 Falk Rd.) from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
The Rip City Relay Vancouver wraps up with the Rip City Fair at Bi-Mart (2601 Falk Road) from 4:00 - 6:00p.m. This event includes Trail Blazer broadcasters, alumni player ambassadors, Blazer dancers, and the team mascot Blaze the Trail Cat. The Rip City Fair will include games, food, music, prizes and a whole lot of basketball fun!
Members of the media are always invited to attend any Vancouver PAL event (during the Rip City Relay, only the Rip City Fair is open to the general public, the school assembly and basketball clinic are not open to the general public but media are welcome to attend all activities).
