MAN CRITICALLY INJURED IN LATE NIGHT SHOOTING

Gresham, Ore. - The Gresham Police Department and members of the East County Major Crimes Team are investigating a late night shooting that left a 25-year-old Portland man critically injured. The victim was rushed to a local hospital and his name is currently being withheld, pending notification to his family.
Officers responded to the 7-Eleven / 76 Gas Station, 18222 SE Division St., Gresham, at 11:19 p.m. on Oct. 18 for reports that a man had been shot in the parking lot. Locating the victim between the gas pumps and the building's entrance, paramedics transported him to the hospital. The suspect is described as an African American male in his 20s who was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and is believed to be approximately 5-feet-10-inches tall and 160 pounds. He fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
