Vancouver, Wash. - On August 7, 2014, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a single vehicle crash at NE Burton Rd. /NE 28th Street. When emergency personnel arrived, they located a vehicle inside the fenced area of a utility substation. The driver, and lone occupant of the vehicle, Trina Wase, 44, was found outside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Vancouver Police Traffic Unit is investigating and it appears that speed and alcohol are likely factors in the crash. No other vehicles were involved and there was only minor damage reported at the substation. The roadway was closed temporarily while emergency personnel were investigating.
