On 8/10/2014 at 5:10pm, Clark County Sheriff's Office patrol units were alerted to a disturbance with a weapon call at 21612 NE 22nd Avenue. The resident, Ryan Boudreau 38 of Ridgefield, Washington reported that someone was breaking into his home and he intended to shoot them. The CRESA 911 dispatch center maintained contact with Boudreau and updated the responding patrol deputies. The house was surrounded and all but one of the involved parties was detained. Chris Holland 25 of Vancouver, fled the scene as deputies were arriving and remains a person of interest.
Deputies were able to determine that Boudreau and his girlfriend, Katrina Hendrix 32 of Ridgefield, asked her sister, Michelle Hendrix 32 of Vancouver, to come to the residence to pick up a washing machine. Michelle brought Ian Hurling, 23 of Vancouver, and Chris with her. A verbal disturbance ensued involving Michelle, Chris, and the resident, Ryan. When Ryan directed Michelle and Chris off of his property, Michelle assaulted Ryan. Ryan retrieved a handgun and while standing outside the residence next to a 'no trespassing' sign, ordered Michelle, Chris and Ian off of the property. When they refused to leave, Ryan fired a single gunshot into the ground. Ian was forced to physically restrain Chris from assaulting Ryan. When Ryan and Katrina returned to their home to call 911, Michelle and Chris went to the back door and broke out the window. Ian was contacted by deputies as he was fleeing from the residence in a white SUV.
Michelle was arrested for Malicious Mischief 3 D.V. and assault charges are being forwarded for review to the prosecutor's office. Ryan and Katrina fully cooperated with the investigation. Ryan's involvement will be reviewed by the prosecutor's office as well.
No one was injured in the incident.
