The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a traffic accident on Hwy 211 near SE 362nd Dr out side of the city of Sandy. Deputies on scene realized it was not a traffic accident but was a farm mach inery accident near that intersection.

A berry harvester was backing up to line up on a row of berries and either a hose or a fitting broke and the harvester lost its hydraulic fluid, which cause the brakes to go out. The harvester rolled backwards and then rolled over onto its top injuring 6 workers who were on the machine. Two people had broken legs, four others had minor injuries. They were all transported to the hospital.

This was determined to be an industrial accident and the Sheriff's Office is not investigating further at this time. We notified OSHA of the incident.
