Beginning Friday, Aug. 15, the community development, economic development and engineering departments as well as the city's mailroom/reprographics, passport window, recycling and solid waste program will move to The Beaverton Building (12725 SW Millikan Way). To facilitate a smooth transition, these offices will close to the public at noon on Friday and most will reopen Monday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m.

There will be no building inspections on Friday, Aug. 15 or Monday, Aug. 18. The passport office will proceed with its normal schedule and remain closed on Monday.

During this time, all other City of Beaverton departments will remain open.

The Beaverton Police Department, municipal court and emergency management program will not be relocating and will maintain normal business hours during the move. This November the city will propose its plan to remodel the Griffith Drive building into a much needed public safety center.

The city's billing address for utility payments will remain the same: City of Beaverton, P.O. Box 3188, Portland, OR 97208-3188. For customers who use the utility payment drop box, please be advised that there is a "walk-up" box at the Beaverton Building next to the 15-minute parking spaces on SW Millikan Way.

Visitors to The Beaverton Building can park in the parking garage, lot one, two, or five. Street parking is also available along SW Crescent Avenue and along SW Rose Biggi Avenue, SW Millikan Way and SW Watson Avenue.
