The Beaverton City Library is hosting its annual 'End of Summer Reading Lawn Party' on Wednesday, Aug. 13 on the South Library lawn (12375 SW 5th Street) from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

"With summer coming to an end, we want to celebrate all the hard work the children have put in," said Abigail Elder, library director. "This event promises to be a great time for children and a wonderful opportunity to spend time with the family."

The event is free to the public. The library encourages families to bring their children 12 years and younger. There will be fun outdoor activities and games for everyone to participate in. This will also be the last day for children to claim their summer reading prizes.
