SUV STUCK ON MAX TRACK LEADS TO STUCKEY'S ARREST FOR DUII

Gresham, Ore. - Butch Pearl Stuckey, 44, of Portland was arrested by Gresham police officers this morning after he drove an SUV 600 feet down a MAX track before getting stuck on the track's inner rail.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 8:00 a.m. regarding a white Ford Explorer stuck on the eastbound MAX track, east of the intersection of SE Stark St. and E Burnside St. Responding officers encountered the vehicle and its driver, Mr. Stuckey. A subsequent investigation found Mr. Stuckey to be under the influence of drugs and he was placed under arrest.
Eastbound MAX service was interrupted for approximately 30 minutes. Although the vehicle had to be towed away, the track did not appear to be damaged. The SUV does not belong to Mr. Stuckey and police are still determining who the rightful owner is.
Mr. Stuckey was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center, charged with DUII - Drugs, Reckless Driving, and Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine.
