At 5:08pm PF&R crews were dispatched to a house fire at SE 123rd and Lincoln St. Crews reported heavy fire showing from the front of a two-story home. Residents of the home were able to report that all occupants and pets were out and safe.
Crews battled a few difficulties. Firefighters reported arcing power lines that came in contact with the fire on the front side of the house; power company was requested to the scene. Fire crews also had to work around weak floors and heavy clutter on the 2nd story of the residence as they chased fire that was spreading up the home's walls. Ladder truck companies were sent to the roof of the home to cut much needed ventilation holes. The ventilation holes allow smoke and heat to escape so that crews can operate inside the house on the upper floor.
The fire has been put out at this time and a fire investigator has been called to the scene to determine a cause and damage assessment.
Any additional info and/or photos will be updated when available.
