Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are investigating a Tuesday evening pedestrian-involved traffic crash that occurred on Highway 51 south of Highway 22 in Polk County.
Preliminary information indicates on November 26, 2013 at approximately 6:30 p.m., an adult female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle along Highway 51 near Poplar Lane. The female pedestrian reportedly died later. The involved vehicle and driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
No other details are available at this time and may not be released until Wednesday.
OSP troopers from the Salem Area Command office are investigating the crash.
