ODOT: PDX, Mt. Hood - WED 9:36am

ODOT: PDX, Mt. Hood: U.S. 30 east of the St. Johns Bridge will remain closed through the evening commute as PGE crews replace power poles and power lines brought down on both sides of the highway early this morning when trees fell. ODOT will clear the roadway and assess the hillside where the trees fell as soon as it is safe to do so.
Motorists should plan ahead to use alternate routes, such as Cornelius Pass Road; I-5 to Lombard to the St. Johns Bridge; or even I-5 to Longview, WA, to cross the Lewis & Clark Bridge into Rainier, OR, and continue on U.S. 30.
Travelers should expect more congestion along I-5 north of downtown Portland because of the closure on U.S. 30.
