ODOT: PDX, Mt. Hood - WED 3:08pm

ODOT: PDX, Mt. Hood: A two-mile stretch of U.S. 30 between downtown Portland (at NW Kittridge Ave.) and the St. Johns Bridge will remain closed through the evening commute, but may open mid-evening.
One tree (one LARGE tree) fell early this morning, bringing down six utility poles on both sides of the highway.
The St. Johns Bridge remains open, accessible from U.S. 30 on the north/west side of the bridge and from N. Philadelphia Ave. on the east side of the bridge.
Motorists should use alternate routes, such as Cornelius Pass Road; I-5 to Lombard to the St. Johns Bridge; or I-5 to Longview, WA, to cross the Lewis & Clark Bridge into Rainier, OR, and continue on U.S. 30.
Travelers should expect more congestion along I-5 north of downtown Portland because of the closure on U.S. 30. UPDATE
