PORTLAND FIRE & RESCUE CREWS RESPOND TO HOUSE FIRE IN SE PORTLAND

At 1231am Portland Fire & Rescue crews responded to the report of a house fire at 5404 SE 105th ave. Engine 11 (Lents) arrived to find smoke showing from the front of a single family residence. The Engine 11 crew was joined with additional SE Portland crews to extinguish a fire that was discovered in the garage of the house while Truck 7, who had just recently left a hazardous material spill in NE Portland, assisted with search & rescue and ventilation operations. All occupants were reported to have evacuated the home but search efforts were being conducted by PF&R crews for a missing pet. Fire crews currently remain on scene to assist Arson Investigators who were dispatched to determine a cause of the garage fire.
