OREGON CITY POLICE AWARDS BANQUET

On April 20, 2013 the Oregon City Police Department held its annual awards banquet at the Museum of The Oregon Territory. Each year employees are recognized for exceptional performance. This year's banquet was catered by Two Girls Catering.

Police Chief Mike Conrad honored the following employees for their outstanding service to the community and the department in 2012. The following awards were presented:

Employee of the year: Kim Davis (For outstanding service in the Records Department)

Distinguished Service Medal: Officer Greg Johnston (For outstanding performance as an Acting Patrol Sergeant)

Distinguished Service Medal: Officer Chad Weaver (For outstanding performance during a Stabbing Call on a Tri-Met Bus)

Life Saving Medal: Officer Bill Horton (For rendering CPR/Aid to a 76 year old citizen suffering a heart attack while off-duty)

The Chief's Medal of Merit for 2012 was presented to the following Officers for their response during the Clackamas Town Center Mall Shooting on December 11, 2012:

Sergeant Greg Fryett
Officer Jared Turpin
Officer Dan Hanes
Officer Tanner Crivellone
Res. Officer Jodi Huot

These officers courageous effort to rush to the aid of citizens without consideration of their own safety reflect highly upon each officer and illustrate the best values of the law enforcement profession.
