INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 224 WEST OF ESTACADA (PHOTOS)

Two people received non-life threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon in a two vehicle head-on crash along Highway 224 west of Estacada.
On March 5, 2013 at approximately 3:00 p.m., a Jeep Cherokee driven by JASON W. GREEN, age 40, from Metolius, was westbound on Highway 224 near SE Heiple Road when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound Chevrolet Aveo driven by VICTORIIA MacDONALD, age 18, from Estacada. After impact, the Jeep rolled onto its side coming to rest on the highway shoulder.
GREEN and MacDONALD were transported by ambulance to Oregon Heath & Science University (OHSU) with non-life threatening injuries. Both were using safety restraints.
OSP troopers from the Portland Area Command office responded to investigate. GREEN was cited for Careless Driving and Driving Uninsured.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Estacada Rural Fire Protection District No. 69, and ODOT. The highway was blocked over an hour during incident response and scene investigation.
