FAIRVIEW POLICE HOSTING SELF DEFENSE FOR WOMEN CLASS
Posted: January 8th, 2013 12:57 PM

The Fairview Police Department is pleased to offer a FREE- "Self Defense for Women" class- for personal protection and conflict resolution. It is based on adrenal stress response, which is the "fight or flight" response that comes with an attack, whether it is only verbal or physical.

Most self-defense classes are technique based, meaning, you mostly learn how to fight and defend yourself from an attack, by punching, kicking, etc... but the #1 factor in self-defense is learning how to deal with the adrenalin fear rush that everyone experiences.

This class is reality based and very, "Hands on". It is limited to only 20 participants, who are 18 years or older. Priority will be given to Fairview residents and those working in Fairview.
