Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division is looking for the owner of an Angus female cow found dumped near Weyerhaeuser Corporation property west of Roseburg this weekend.

On December 22, 2012, OSP Senior Trooper Jason Stone found the dead cow with meat removed near the Weyerhaeuser Corportation Callahan entrance gate. The female cow was described as black with a small amount of white around its muzzle. It had a very short horn on the left side and both ear tags were removed.

Senior Trooper Stone thinks the cow was most like from the Melrose / Flourney valley area and is asking to hear from its owner. Stone can be reached at the OSP Roseburg Area Command office at (541) 440-3406.
