VANCOUVER POLICE INVESTIGATING DEATH AT RESIDENCE

On November 12, 2012 at approximately 8:45 pm, Vancouver Police patrol officers were dispatched to 3414 NE 83rd Avenue to check on the welfare of the occupants. After officers arrived at the location they established phone contact with a male subject inside. The male indicated that he was suicidal and armed with a handgun. After the subject terminated communication with police, officers entered the residence and located one subject inside who was deceased. A second subject was taken into custody. The investigation is being conducted by the Major Crimes Unit and is ongoing. No further details are available at this time.
