VANCOUVER POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE (UPDATE)

The suspect in this investigation is an adult male and the victim is an adult female. This case is a domestic violence crime and the two individuals were married. The suspect has been booked into the Clark County Jail for Murder I. At this time names of the suspect and the victim are not being released pending notification of next of kin which is still ongoing.
Further inqiries related to this investigation should be directed to the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

On November 12, 2012 Vancouver Police were dispatched to 3414 NE 83rd Avenue to check on the welfare of the occupants. Officers were able to establish phone contact with a male subject inside and indications were that he was armed with a handgun and possibly suicidal. After the subject terminated communication with police, officers entered the residence and located an individual that was deceased and took a second individual into custody.
Detectives from the Vancouver Police Major Crimes Unit are investigating this incident as a homicide and have a suspect in custody and there are no outstanding suspects. At this time no further information is being released pending notification of next of kin and the ongoing investigation.
