Learn the lifetime skill of swimming for free during the upcoming winter break from school!
Portland Parks & Recreation is offering free swim lessons for beginners, including parent/tot classes.
Our talented instructors will teach and improve your child's swimming and water safety skills. Registration is required and is now underway.
Classes run December 17, 18, 19, and 20.
Classes are offered at 9:00am, 9:35am, 10:10am and 10:45am.

Enjoy winter break at five Portland Parks & Recreation indoor pools! All pools will be offering extended Open Play Swims in addition to our regular schedule of Lap Swims, Water Exercise, Parent/Preschool and Family Swims.

Join the Portland Parks Aquatic Team for Summer 2013
More than 700 positions, including openings for lifeguards, swim instructors and water fitness instructors are available this summer at Portland Parks & Recreation swim facilities located throughout the city.
Portland Parks & Recreation Aquatics offers competitive wages, a positive working environment, flexible hours, opportunity for advancement and an employee recognition program. With six indoor and seven outdoor pools throughout the city, our staff has the opportunity to provide a service to their community while earning wages ranging from $9.25-13.00 per hour.
Training courses for those interested in becoming a lifeguard and swim instructor are available through Portland Parks & Recreation. Lifeguard and swim instructor training courses are offered during Winter Break - December 17-20.
