VANCOUVER POLICE MAKE ARRESTS IN OVERNIGHT DRIVE BY SHOOTING

On August 16, 2012 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Vancouver Police were dispatched to a call of a drive by shooting in the area of E 18th Street and Carlson Rd. According to witnesses, two vehicles were involved in a verbal altercation/road rage incident. A subject from one of the vehicle's threw a bottle at the other subject's car. A subject from the vehicle hit with the bottle responded by firing multiple shots out the window, striking at least one vehicle in the area. No injuries were reported.
The subject from the vehicle that fired the weapon was determined to be at an apartment in the 4200 block of E 18th Street. Vancouver Police Patrol and on duty SWAT members responded to that location and took a 17 year old male into custody and booked him into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center for Assault I. Also arrested and booked for Assault I was another 17 year old male. Tylor Myers, 18, and Kenneth G. Kirkland, 21, were also booked into the Clark County Jail for their involvement in this incident.
There is no information at this time as to what precipitated the altercation or the nature of the association of the parties involved.
The investigation is still active and no further information is available at this time .
