FELON INPOSSESSION FOR FIREARMS

On August 23, 2012 at about 10:00 am members of the Clark County Sheriff's Office Tactical Detective Unit along with members of the Cowlitz Wahkiakum Drug Task force arrested Charles R Norgaard 80 years f age of the Day Break area for seven counts of being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm and for possessing Heroin.
Detectives learned that Mr. Norgaard was in possession of several firearms on his property. He is a convicted felon and is prohibited by law from possessing firearms. He is also awaiting sentencing on drug charges out of Cowlitz County.
Under cover detectives set up a meet with Mr. Norgaard at a location away from his house. When he was contacted he was caring a 45 caliber handgun. He was taken into custody, and detectives then served a search warrant on his property and located 6six other firearms and a small amount of Heroin. Mr. Norgaard was booked into the Clark County Jail and should make his first appearance before a Judge on Friday morning.
