VANCOUVER POLICE INVESTIGATING FATAL COLLISION

The motorcylist killed in yesterday's collision has been identified as Jason Moe, 23. The name of the driver of the SUV is not being released at this time. The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation.

On July 9, 2012 at approximately 4:20 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a collision involving an SUV and a motorcycle in the area of SE 136th Avenue/SE Mill Plain Blvd.
When officers arrived they found an adult male, the driver of the motorcycle, was deceased. An adult female, the driver of the SUV, was on scene and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation of injuries.
SE 136th Avenue from Mill Plain Blvd south to SE 7th Street is closed to all traffic. It is anticipated this closure will be in effect until approximately 10:00 p.m. this evening.
The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit will be handling the investigation and no additional information will be released this evening.
