PRELIMINARY INFORMATION - SERIOUS INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 126E WEST OF PRINEVILLE

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation and obtaining information into an early Tuesday morning crash involving a van and a commercial truck on Highway 126E between Redmond and Prineville in Crook County. Additional information will be released before noon.
Preliminary information indicates on July 10, 2012 at approximately 2:20 a.m. a head-on collision involving a van with several occupants and a commercial truck was reported on Highway 126E near milepost 12. At least five people reported transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries, some of which are serious.
No names or other details available for this release. The highway was closed for about 90 minutes and one lane is now re-opened.
