ODOT: PDX, Mt. Hood: Weekend work on I-5 south is wrapping up early. The contractor will open the I-84 west off-ramp to I-5 south tonight between 8:30 and 9 p.m. However, work will continue on the north end of the project near the Rose Quarter where I-5 south will remain closed. Currently, the contractor plans to open I-5 south at the Rose Quarter around midnight. ODOT will announce the opening of I-5 later this evening. Drivers heading south on I-5 should continue to use the I-405 detour. Local traffic can use Exit 302A.
Another I-5 south closure will take place next weekend from 11 p.m. Friday, July 20 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 23. Additionally, the contractor will close I-5 south at night only from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night Monday through Thursday.
