On July 11, 2012, at about 1:07 p.m., a resident in the 30300 block of SE Joette Drive, Boring, Oregon, called Clackamas 911 to report a serious one car crash.

Boring Fire personnel arrived on the scene at about 1:12 p.m. and advised dispatchers and responding deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office the single occupant of the car was dead.

The black Lincoln Town Car was severely damaged during the crash, hampering the investigators efforts at extricating and identifying the driver.
