Washington County Sheriff's Deputies and Detectives arrested and charged a Tigard man with many crimes stemming from allegations he committed illegal sex acts over the last year. Washington County Sheriff's Deputies originally responded to a report from a parent whose underage daughter disclosed drug use and sexual activity with an older man.

Washington County Sheriff's Child Abuse Detectives had very limited information to go on. Detectives worked tenaciously to identify the man and gather evidence to solve these crimes and protect other young girls from being victimized. During the course of the investigation, Edmund Enriquez, 40 years old from Tigard was identified as the older man.

Detectives believe Mr. Enriquez would lure girls ranging in age from 14 to 17 years old to different locations with drugs and then engage in sexual activity with them. One of these locations is a wooded area in the 9200 block of SW Barnes Road. The other locations are believed to be Mr. Enriquez's most recent residence in the 10200 block of SW McDonald Street in Tigard and his previous residence in the 4100 block of SW Hocken Street in Beaverton.

Mr. Enriquez drove a 1998 red Volkswagen Jetta and had a ponytail with the sides of his head shaved. A previous booking photo is included because the current booking photo does not reflect the hair style Mr. Enriquez had during the last year. It is believed he would go by "Eddie" as a nickname.

On June 19, 2012, Mr. Enriquez was arrested and lodged in the Washington County Jail. He was originally charged with five sex crimes ranging from First Degree Rape to First Degree Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse. As of June 27, 2012, Mr. Enriquez was charged with 12 more sex and drug crimes totaling 17 current charges altogether. Four of these charges are measure 11 level crimes. It is likely more charges will be added later. He is currently held in the Washington County Jail on $3,500,000 bail.

Sheriff's Detectives have identified three underage female victims and fear there may be more.
Detectives are seeking the public's help regarding this case. If you have any information, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office Child Abuse Division at (503) 846-2500.
