Burglary Suspected Arrested After Foot Chase In Lake Oswego

BURGLARY SUSPECTED ARRESTED AFTER FOOT CHASE IN LAKE OSWEGO

On June 6, 2012, at about 5:00 AM the Lake Oswego Communication Center received a 911 call from a residence in the 100 block of 3rd Street in Lake Oswego. The caller reported that there was an intruder in their home and that he had fled down the street after being confronted by another occupant of the home. Our dispatch center quickly dispatched Lake Oswego Police Officers to the area.

Upon arriving in the area the officers located the suspect hiding behind a building near the scene in a public park. After being confronted, a foot chase ensued when the suspect ran from our officers. He was eventually apprehended and taken into custody. Property from the home that was broken into was recovered, both in the area where the suspect had been hiding and on his person, after he was detained.

Arrested was Ricky L. Sears, DOB 07-01-74, he was transported and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of Burglary I, Theft I and Resisting Arrest. Burglary I and Theft I are both felonies, Resisting Arrest is a misdemeanor. A booking photo is available from the Clackamas County Jail.
