Pickup Crashes Into Carwash, Pins Worker Against Wall
On 05-30-12, at about 12:27 p.m. the driver of a 2004 Ford F150 pickup lost control of his vehicle while entering Purdy's Carwash at 3075 SE Harrison Street in Milwaukie. Accidentally depressing the accelerator instead of the brake pedal, 87-year old Donald Ives of Milwaukie ran the pickup into a wall of the carwash, striking employee Regino Colop-Morales of Milwaukie, pinning him briefly between the vehicle and a wall.
Regino Colop-Morales suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Providence Milwaukie Hospital. Crash details were forwarded to the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles for evaluation.
The building suffered damages and the carwash was temporarily closed for repairs.
The driver does not want contact. The victim is not available for contact at this time.#####
