A single-vehicle crash left one woman dead after the vehicle she was in left the roadway and crashed. Three other people in the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.


Full Details

On Sunday, May 13, 2012, at about 5:42 pm, Sheriff's deputies responded to an automobile crash near 33482 NW Bacona Road in unincorporated Washington County. When deputies arrived they determined that only one car was involved. They learned that 49-year-old Tamera Verley from Aloha was deceased at the scene.

The deputies investigating the crash made a preliminary determination that the driver of the car lost control on the windy gravel road and crashed the vehicle over an embankment. Mrs. Verely was ejected from the vehicle. Three other people in the vehicle also suffered serious injuries and were transported to Emanuel Hospital. They are 25-year-old Stephaine Roso, 20-year-old Kylie Bellar, and 21-year-old Noah Barker.

The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) in continuing the investigation. They have not released any further details, including who the driver of the vehicle was. There have been no criminal charges filed at this time.
