SHERWOOD CITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCES THE SELECTION OF JOSEPH GALL AS SHERWOOD'S NEXT CITY MANAGER

The Sherwood City Council announced the selection of Joseph Gall as Sherwood's next City Manager. He replaces Jim Patterson who left Sherwood in October, 2011 to be Corvallis' City Manager. Tom Pessemier, Sherwood's Community Development Director, has acted as the City's Interim City Manager during the seven month interval. Mr. Gall comes to Sherwood from Fairview where he has been City Administrator since December, 2006.
The Council instructed recruiting consultant Waldron and the City Attorney's office to coordinate with one another and negotiate an employment contract between the City and Mr. Gall for Council's consideration at their May 15th Council meeting.
The Council noted the selection decision was extremely difficult given the caliber of the applicant pool. The entire Council voiced its deep appreciation for Tom Pessemier's leadership and stewardship of the City during the seven months he acted as City Manager Pro Tem.
