VANCOUVER POLICE ARREST SUSPECT IN HOMICIDE NEAR VANCOUVER LAKE

On March 2, 2012 the body of a deceased male was discovered near Vancouver Lake, past the end of the roadway of Erwin O Rieger Memorial Highway. Vancouver Police responded and commenced an investigation into the death of this individual. The investigation at the scene revealed that the deceased was the victim of a homicide. The deceased was identified as;
-Schenk, Joshua R 25 years old of Vancouver, WA
Detectives from the Major Crimes unit conducting follow up on this case identified a suspect who was interviewed later in the day.
- Starr, Matthew E 19 years old of Vancouver, WA
was subsequently booked into the Clark County Jail for one count of Murder I
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time.
